I just saw a very cool show downtown. A bunch of people were waving torches around, breathing fire, and dancing. I tried to talk to a couple of people while I was down there, but no one spoke English.
I've found, when I'm trying to just talk to people, unless I really need something, it's really best just to start with English. It's kinda funny, but people are nicer to me when I start with English... pretty consistently. Although, today, I didn't find anyone that spoke it, and I got a lot of weird looks when I was asking, "Do you speak English?"
